As a Motability customer, you might be wondering what else we get up to. In this article, we introduce our various partnerships ranging from football to entertainment.

  • We are proud to partner with the English Football League (EFL) as the title sponsor of the trophy – the Bristol Street Motors Trophy.
  • In the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC), we sponsor drivers Tom Ingram and Tom Chilton from the EXCELR8 Motorsport race team.
  • In the entertainment sector, we partner with Co-op Live – a new electrically powered area scheduled to open this year in Manchester. Plus, Newcastle’s beloved Theatre Royal

For over 100 years, Bristol Street Motors has served the needs of customers nationwide. From a single dealership at Bristol Street, Birmingham, to over 200 dealerships and counting across the country.

But we do more than offer new and used cars or vans, Motability cars, servicing, and MOTs. We also get involved in the communities where we operate, partnering with local and national organisations.

Read on to learn more about our various partnerships.

English Football League (EFL)

Bristol Street Motors Trophy

Last year, we announced a three-year partnership with the EFL, sponsoring the trophy up to the 2025/26 season. Bringing clubs together nationwide, it offers players in League One and Two the chance to win what is now known as the Bristol Street Motors Trophy.

The 2023/24 final at Wembley saw over 42,000 fans attend, to watch Peterborough United and Wycombe Wanderers compete for the trophy. In the end, it was Peterborough who came out on top, with a heroic goal from captain Harrison Burrows. You can read more about the match in our blog.

To capture some of the excitement in the stands, we invited popular YouTuber Nieve Petruzziello, or ‘Stuntpegg’, to document her day. With her expert knowledge of League One and League Two football, we could think of no one better to work with.

Off the pitch, we’ve used the partnership for a range of fantastic causes. Over the last season, we purchased a number of tickets to the games which we donated back to the clubs’ community charities.

These rewarded dedicated fans with an experience to remember, presenting some with the chance to go to their first-ever game. Read more about the community programmes we’ve supported through the partnership.

At the final, we even gave two fans a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity with hospitality tickets, a VIP tour of Wembley, and the chance to meet the clubs. Plus, carrying the iconic Bristol Street Motors Trophy onto the pitch!

The partnership not only allows us to celebrate the sport but also to connect with fans and communities. Bringing football to everyone.

Co-op Live is a new sustainable arena located in Manchester. An Oak View Group (OVG) and City Football Group project, it offers eco-friendly entertainment with a sustainable design.

Announced in 2021, Bristol Street Motors joined as a Founding Partner of the arena, gaining exclusive naming rights to the atrium. As a nod to our iconic brand, we named it The Street.

With a 23,500-person capacity, the new arena will be the largest in Europe, built from locally sourced materials. Expected to host a range of stars from the music and entertainment industry, Co-op Live promises an experience to remember.

Sustainable features include solar-powered roof panels and a rainwater harvesting system. Read more about the top five features that make Co-op Live sustainable.

Focused on both people and the planet, the arena is a venue for everyone. Teaming up with Attitude Is Everything, the arena has implemented several accessible features for those who need them. These include:

  • Lowered service counters.
  • Step-free access to all floors.
  • A designated respite room.
  • Assistance dog facilities.
  • Hearing loops.

If you’re disabled and plan on visiting the arena, accessible tickets are available. These can be purchased through Ticketmaster online. You can also include an essential companion ticket if you’ll need assistance from a relative or friend.

Entrance B is listed as the venue’s dedicated accessible entrance, where you’ll find step-free access. Complementary accessible parking is also available, though you’ll need to reserve online in advance.

House wheelchairs are available inside the arena to help you get around, which you can request on arrival. You’ll also find accessible toilets throughout the venue, including changing facilities. For more information on accessibility at Co-op Live, visit their website.

Partnering with Co-op Live gives us a fantastic place to connect with guests both near and far. Through a variety of on-site activations, we can share a love of sustainable entertainment and display some of our latest vehicles.

The British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) sees racing versions of everyday cars compete at iconic tracks across the UK.

We’re proud to support our very own racing team – EXCELR8 Motorsport as they race toward success. Sponsoring frontmen Tom Ingram and Tom Chilton.

The partnership allows us to celebrate our motorsport heritage with like-minded customers. From April to October, we follow the team – including Nick Halstead and Ronan Pearson – from track to track. Last season, we were thrilled to watch Tom Ingram win the BTCC Championship, taking home the trophy for the team.

Off-track, we spend lots of time with the team to have a bit of fun, all of which you can see on our Instagram account. Whether it’s interviews with the drivers, Q&As, or head-to-head competitions – some of which you get to decide!

If you’re a motorsport fan, you can keep up with the action on ITV4 and ITVX. For more information on the championship, read our guide to the BTCC.
